This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My school is located in rural Mississippi. Our district lacks the funds needed to supply our classroom needs adequately. My kindergarteners are very bright and deserve the much-needed materials. They love any new materials I provide and have a real thirst for learning! I know that with added resources, their knowledge would increase.
Every child deserves to excel in life.
Please help our future generation to excel! Having the much-needed classroom materials would enhance their education and allow them to be successful.
My Project
In a early childhood setting children learn best through fun inviting hands on centers. Dramatic play is one of my kindergartners' favorite learning centers. The grocery stand will allow my children to have fun while learning about shopping for healthy foods. They will shop, prepare and reenact what we are learning in class about being heathy. This will also allow them to be creative and act out what they are learning in their everyday world. They will be excited to be able to learn and play at the same time.
Please help my kindergartners have fun while they are learning!
