I work in a Title I school and the majority of my school is on free or reduced-price lunches. Every day these students come to school to have a safe environment and to feel loved and respected.
The students in my school are young and eager to learn.
They have a lot of energy and can do great things. Last school year was VERY hard on our school community due to Hurricane Harvey. The hurricane impacted our school community and my school was displaced for a semester in order to make room for the high school students. Most of my students lost everything in their home but still come to school smiling and thriving.
This year we are opening and setting up a Literacy Lab to help develop oral language. This will help the students to learn new vocabulary, play, and how to express themselves.
I am hoping to get this awesome kitchen set for my dramatic play centers in our Literacy Lab!
I want our student at our academy to have a wonderful year.
I want to get the Literacy Lab stocked with some amazing materials and resources for our students. I want the students to have this kitchen set to help them use their imagination and play with their peers.
I think it would be a great set because it comes in many pieces and later on in the year we can always convert it into another station. The students would absolutely LOVE this in our lab!
