All children deserve the opportunity to learn about our world and the events and changes that are occurring each day. My students are curious, driven, innovative, and passionate about learning. They learn with a focus on hands-on learning to understand worldly concepts.
I believe in a classroom community of learners who are passionate about learning new information and connecting concepts from one area to the next.
These children will be teaching to and learning from one another, sharing experiences to widen their perspectives and viewpoints, and developing a lifelong love for learning.
My Project
The resources I purchase from TeachersPayTeachers will be content-related activities that help us reach our grade level standards and continue to strive towards hands-on and group based learning.
After a year and a half of my students being restricted and/or denied to express themselves and learn through play, we are finally able to offer dramatic play centers to our students!
The costumes and play accessories will enhance students' abilities to take on different roles and learn to work with others.
Last year I introduced these Scholastic magazines to my first graders and their curiosity and interest in the scientific and cultural studies areas increased tremendously; I hope to reach a similar success with my students this year!
