Greetings generous donors! Sadly, my high school does not have a theatre department. Happily, my mission is to create one. I will start it one class at a time. I am an English teacher with the perfect opportunity to make literature more of a blast than it already is (for me at least)! My class will analyze scenes and plays and write their own scenes and plays. What we really need is a digital video camera for this endeavor. When a student performs a scene, videotaping it allows me and the class to critique and reflect from different points of view. An example is the following: "Let's view student X's scene from a director's point of view (look at blocking, stagecraft view).? It allows the class to be more accurate when we help each other create more effective performances. Thank you so much for your anticipated generosity!
