My Students

Being at a small school in a small Texas town, most of our students don't get a lot of access to live Theatre. Luckily we have a very supportive town and school district who support the arts. The students really enjoy all aspects of Theatre, especially the Technical side. In fact, we have graduated numerous students who have gone on to Major of Minor in Theatre. In order to better equip our students for the next level, we are hoping to get them access to better equipment.

My Project

These items will be used to help our students in the Tech classes to learn sound and lighting techniques, DMX programming and then use them in a practical application with our live productions.

Many college theatre programs now expect incoming students to have workable knowledge Of DMX technology and sound mixing as they come into their programs.

With the increased number of students graduating from Bangs HS to major or minor in theatre, it's imperative we have these opportunities. This allows our students here at Bangs to enter the next level on the same playing field as students form larger schools.
