Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
In my class, we are bilingual! My students are multilingual learners who are fostering their love for both English and Spanish. Many of them come from low-income homes, homes that are shared with multiple families, or from very difficult situations, all in the hopes of finding a better education.
It is my job as their teacher to help my students realize their optimal potential in two languages.
As their teacher, I help students blossom linguistically and academically, and I do my best to have my students enjoy learning daily.
My Project
My students are wonderful, hard-working individuals that sometimes lack basic materials due to socio-economic status. I want to provide them with basic materials that will help engage them in daily activities, such as the magnetic letters and dry erase boards! But I also want to allow them to move around the room using clipboards to interact, converse, and work with one another and groups.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
My students need many opportunities to interact with one another and work in a group setting to help them continue developing their linguistic abilities. Ultimately these opportunities will enable them to experience greater success!
