This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We have a dedicated math station where I work with small groups based on their needs. I love working with them in small groups! I get to hear their thinking and get help them clear up misconceptions. I also see the most growth in these groups. However, sometimes we run out of time and I have to erase the board that I use for the next class.

My students suggested that I get the adjustable, magnetic, double-sided whiteboard.

A double-sided whiteboard would serve to save the work of each group for each class. I would be able to section it off and save their work on it since it is also magnetic. This space would not only help keep us organized, but it would also help in providing continuity for each group from session to session. I laughed when they said they saw an adjustable board since I am short and have difficulty reaching higher sections of the current chalkboard. I appreciate that they are looking out for me as well.

We are so grateful for the help we have received from this site before! Our dedicated math station would benefit from the addition of the double-sided whiteboard.
