Our classroom encompasses a creative and excited group of eight, nine, ten, and eleven year old scholars eager to have hands-on and rich learning experiences.
Each learning community includes scholars needing necessary reading materials to be successful during workshop.
Some students speak another language at home. Students have individual book bins in which they can store their reading books.
Our schedule includes a test preparation course annually; student test taking strategies are regularly utilized. In addition, small group reading instruction is a regular part of the daily literacy block.
My Project
These materials are sure to provide meaningful and rich literary content that will support our scholars with developing a true love of reading.
The leveled reading libraries will create small book sets in order for small groups of readers to receive more intensive instruction in reading fluency and comprehension.
The leveled libraries will also provide students with books to fill their individual book bins as our scholars should have between eight and ten books in their individual book bins.
The books will assist our scholars in using appropriate reading strategies to aid with overall fluency and comprehension. The books will provide scholars with diverse reading materials that carries texts across various genres.
