Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing young women and young men with a wide range of disabilities. They do their best to remain engaged in remote learning despite challenges outside their control. Many of them feel the need to work to help their families.
Some families have lost their sole source of income.
They need a little bit of hope and help. They need to know that they are not alone and that they can count in their community. These donations will help them and their families to ease their anxiety due to the devastation COVID-19 is causing to our city and state.
My Project
Our students have worked really hard all their academic career to get good grades and go to college. Now they have to get ready to go to college and they need bedding sets for their dorms.
Our senior graduates are courageous, smart, resilient, and a true role model for the students in our school and for us their teachers.
They remained focused and they continue to work hard to achieve their goal of going to college.
The cancellation of prom, senior field trip, senior luncheon, and walking across the stage did not stop them from focusing on their studies and getting into their college of choice.
Please help us to get them ready with a bedding set for their dorm. Help us to get them ready for their college life.
