Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Have you ever wanted to share your work and not been able to?
Our school consists of 90% minority students.
We are considered a Title I school because over 80% of our student body are on free and reduced lunch. Each year though our students are making strides, succeeding and excelling in their learning. English might be their second language, but that hasn't stopped them.
My Project
My students have expressed that they would like to make commercials and showcase their work to their parents. A lot of our parents are unable to make it to school because they work odd hours. One way for my students to share their work with their parents is to video tape it and take a cd/DVD home. This year I would like them to show me what they have learned through a commercial. Not only will this help their long term memory of a concept, but they can share their info commercial with the rest of the school.
