I teach 5th/6th grades STEM at a wonderful public charter school. Our school has an arts integration focus and students have enrichment classes that teach art, PE/movement, and Hawaiian Studies. My students are all engaged learners that truly love learning. My students are motivated learners that arrive each day ready to succeed! Our school community is very diverse; we have students living in 26 different zip codes! My Project
As a STEM teacher I encourage all of my students to engage in Science activities and consider pursuing Science-based careers. While this is important for all students, I feel it is especially important for my female students. I am requesting a Ravensburger Gravitrax kit and several expansion packs. These kits will allow my girls the opportunity to explore the important concepts of gravity, magnetism and kinetics in an electronic-free, hands-on way! In addition, Gravitrax will help build my students' spatial reasoning and planning skills.
