My Students

Our school is wonderfully diverse. We have students in prekindergarten through fifth grade from about thirty-two countries. We have a high percentage of students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals. Many of the students are second language learners. They are curious, loving, and excited to learn.

We want the students to experience a rich and engaging learning environment.

Our urban suburb community is supportive of each other and looks for ways to offer opportunities to explore, learn new vocabulary, read, calculate, and make inquiries.

My Project

The parents in our Title I school have a lot going on in their home and may forget when library day is and where the book has been placed. Teachers of the preschoolers and kindergarteners may not remember who brought which book. These bags help organize everyone!

These bags will help to remind the families when to return their books in a safe and waterproof way to the library, and help teachers remember who checked out which book.

Besides organization, the bags will help keep the books safe from the rain and snow.
