My students need to be able to access Google classroom and to be able to complete research projects on a Chromebook to benefit and grow from a resource that is constantly available at our convenience.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Data shows that there is an abundant achievement gap when students do not have the necessary materials to succeed, especially in urban communities. In my classroom, students come from a variety of economic backgrounds with 100% of all students receiving free breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
Students do not have access to adequate technology when it comes to completing school assignments and acquiring resources that will benefit their overall growth.
The typical student reads at a second to third grade level and many struggles with all factors in math such as facts and fluency.
My students are eager to learn and succeed each and every day. They always strive above and beyond their goals despite their weaknesses.
My Project
These Chromebooks will facilitate explicit centers in literacy and math as well as promote learning and research in science and social studies. With these imperative resources, students will benefit from useful applications on the Chromebooks to support their typing skills. They will also be able to strengthen their math skills using Prodigy which is an interactive learning tool that challenges students with math problems to enhance their overall achievement.
My project will make a considerable difference in my student's lives academically.
Our classrooms are not at a sufficient technological level to meet their needs as learners. Giving students access to new technology is an investment in them and their future.
