My students are inquisitive, knowledge-hungry third graders who love to create art while learning new concepts and skills. My students come from diverse backgrounds. Our school is located in the heart of Honolulu with many students who attend our school from all over the world. We are a Title I school with a high population of ELL learners and students receiving free or reduced-price meals.
My students are engaged when art supplies are used to make learning fun.
They extend their learning through centers.
My Project
The LED boards will be used to support the math program for all students. They will use it to calculate and display their thinking during the small group math lesson. Also, they will be using it for other subjects areas including reading, science, social studies, art and health.
Students will also be using the LED boards in math and reading small group centers.
They will use the messy mats during art lessons as well as in art centers. Students will be creating their individual tote to use to carry their reading and math supplies to and from home daily as well as organize their supplies they need for school. The colored bins and color pens will help students keep organize when turning in their assignments in class.
