My students need one Chromebook so they can do the downward-facing dog and other yoga exercises. The Google Management Console License is so students won't be able to get into inappropriate websites.
I teach second graders in one of the best rural schools in Oklahoma! My students are amazing, inquisitive, and eager-to-learn. Although some may have difficult lives, my students come to school with smiles on their faces. They are supportive and cheer each other to success. Half of them go to Title I Reading, 30 minutes every day, for extra help.
My students are special because they have curiosity, creativity, compassion, and positive attitudes.
They are leaders who show love, compassion, kindness, and bravery. They are truly amazing people. My school is wonderfully supportive of the active, hands-on learning that we do in our classroom. I couldn't ask for a better environment for these students. We are truly a community!
My Project
My students will use this Chromebook for yoga. Since their teacher does not know how to do yoga, my students will be using apps on this Chromebook. These Chromebook apps will teach yoga exercises and will teach my students the name of each exercise. One such app is called Kids Fitness-Yoga. With this app my students will be offered 10 simple and playful poses through the discovery of yoga. Each pose is explained to my students. This will help my students relax and focus daily. We will do these exercises before we start the day.
Imagine visiting our classroom and seeing students with Chromebooks doing the downward dog!
With this Chromebook that could happen! My students would be able to do Yoga in our classroom. Students who finish their work early can use Yoga apps on our Chromebook to do Yoga. Since this Chromebook is portable they can move somewhere in our classroom where my other students can't see them for yoga. They will use our bluetooth headphones so students who are still working won't be disturbed by the sound of the yoga app. As one student said, "Yoga sounds fun to me!"
The license will be used to for our tech guy to control this Chromebook so my students can't get on inappropriate sites and apps.
