This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our neighborhood school has a large number of special needs students, who work alongside our general education population. They are all wonderful kids, but many have academic and behavioral challenges. They need constant encouragement along with a daily goal to work towards. Many times these goals involve technology because technology motivates our learners!

Our students need a great deal of motivation, encouragement, nurturing, love, and guidance, to make good choices throughout the school day.

By donating to our project you will help motivate our special needs students to be the best they can be, make good choices, and learn.

My Project

My special needs students struggle with behavioral choices throughout the day. They need constant positive reinforcement and continual praise as reminders to act appropriately, make good choices, and stay on track.

By creating behavioral incentives using an iPad as a re-enforcement, my students choose to do their best and look forward to their iPad time!

Our students are awesome but have yet to learn how to manage their emotions and impulses. Day to day struggles with behaviors can impact their learning and crush their self-esteem. We want to promote a healthy learning atmosphere where students love school!
