My Students

Everyone loves seeing their hard work on the big screen! Using authentic student work to model editing and revising techniques is invaluable to the learning process.

My students are reluctant writers.

This year will be their first experience with expository essays, and we will spend a good amount of time learning how to examine our work with an editor's eye. My students live in rural Connecticut, and attend a small public school where the majority of children qualify for free/reduced lunch.

My Project

Using a document camera will provide my students many advantages. A document camera will allow for more spontaneity in my teaching. As a class, we will be able to consider student written pieces in progress, as well as analyze other forms of text or photos. Additionally, the camera can be used to inspect scientific specimens, and project math manipulatives to the entire class. Students will be proud to show off their work!

The document camera will be important for my students this year and for many years to come.

Using technology in the classroom is imperative to help my students reach their potentials in all academic areas!
