I have a group of 26 diverse, eager learners this year. My students are creative, passionate, and excited about learning. My students do face challenges being in a lower income community, but they overcome these challenges every day at school.
Many of my students are ESL learners where English is not their first language.
Though their backgrounds are diverse, they use their expansive life experiences to connect with their peers, and make unique connections with the curriculum and the world around them. This allows our classroom to be very diverse and engaging for the students while catapulting them forward in their language development and grade level curriculum.
A document camera will help further support our learning in the classroom. Students will be more motivated and engaged in all lessons. This document camera will allow me to enhance lessons where students can see first-hand strategies for solving math problems. It will also allow students to all have access to texts that we are working on together. Students will also be able to display their work for the class to see and collaborate together.
Having a document camera will allow all students to access the same material simultaneously.
Right now, this is a challenge that we face in the classroom. We do not have all of the technological resources to meet the needs of our twenty-first century learners in the most effective ways. This document camera will allow me to reach all learners!
