My Students
The students in my school represent an ethnically and educationally diverse community. As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences - especially in the new library program.
My school serves students in grades K-8 and provides rigorous academics, hardworking teachers and a safe learning environment.
Sometimes we need extra materials to help our students learn in a different way due to the various stages of development and academic needs.
My Project
My students need a Livescribe pen and USB Flash Drives to document their thinking, learning or creative ideas, and then save them on the flashdrive. This pen can record as well as write and it can all be uploaded to a computer to help create students portfolios.
Students will learn to record their own learning and classroom experiences, and use the usb flash drives to save their work and share it with others.
These will help students document their work, their friends work, or something that is happening in the classroom they want to remember, and the teacher can't get there fast enough with an iPad.
