My Students

The days of chalkboards are long gone. Teachers in this century need document projectors to illuminate learning. This interactive technological breakthrough allows a whole class of students to become engaged and interested in learning.

I teach in a richly diverse urban classroom.

My students come from widely varying racial and ethnic, economic, and family backgrounds. They are incredibly curious about and interested in the world around them. Our school is a strong community of active and involved parents, and passionate and caring teachers. Help our community become even stronger!

My Project

So, what does a document projector do? This revolutionary piece of classroom technology magnifies any item or text placed beneath it. It allows a whole class of students to observe the movements of a caterpillar (in real time, magnified X1000!), and read along with their teacher as he projects the text from a book for all to see. It allows individual students to share their writing or artwork, or solve a math problem with the whole class! Also, because it is a camera, images can be saved for future reference! A document projector requires a multimedia projector, which I have access to from my school. I will be able to use the document projector because of this.
