This year has brought many challenges and uncertainties. Through all the challenges my students have been the best. They have been flexible and positive when changes have been made. I couldn't be prouder of all of them. They come day after day with smiles on their faces and ready to tackle anything that comes their way.
My first graders are enthusiastic, eager to learn, and flexible who deserve the best education whether we are in person or distance learning.
With the world outside our school walls is starting to become unsafe for our health. My school is making the necessary changes to keep our students safe. We will be switching to distant learning after Christmas. I strive to give my amazing students the education they deserve.
My Project
The item that I'm wishing with your help to purchase is a document camera that hooks up to my computer. I would be able to use it both in the classroom and at home during distance learning. In class, I am to display worksheets and workbook pages. I would be able to enlarge items for the whole class to see. Right now we are are six feet apart and unable to come close to the smart board. So being able to enlarge things would be a great benefit for my students.
Currently my co-worker is teaching distantly and the one tool that she says that has helped her the most is her document camera.
A document camera helps teach distantly by being able to interact with students with items like worksheets, workbook pages, and books while meeting with them through zoom meetings. It is important to be able to show them how to do things, show them good examples, and how to work out problems.
