My Students

I teach a group of lively, funny, intelligent, kind and diverse 6th grade students at the JQUS in Boston. My students are eager to learn and try new things!

Each of my students has a unique personality and learning style that adds to our classroom community.

Sixth grade is a pivotal year for my students. It is a year of transition, adjustment, and shaping their new identities as middle schoolers. As a teacher it is important to me to make my classroom a space where students feel at home and feel a sense of community! Not only does this make the 6th grade transition an easier process for my students but it also helps to support their learning.

My Project

This document camera will help to enhance my students learning experience. I currently use an old projector In my classroom and have found it difficult to show example problems on the board. Either I am on blocking view of a student or technical difficulties get in the way of my teaching. Being a math And science teacher - it is important to work step by step through math problems or science concepts with my students and for them to SEE the process. This document camera will allow me to easily, efficiently accomplish this and further engage students and enhancing their learning experience.
