This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach in a charter school.

My students are hardworking and resilient.

They work hard every day toward bettering their education. My students deserve the best, and I want to give them the best.

I am a third-year teacher, and I have already put so much of my own money into this classroom and my students. I want to give them everything they need to make sure they succeed in second grade. Second grade is an important year that prepares students for the rest of the academic career.

My Project

We need a document camera for our classroom! Having one will allow me to show my students example problems before they begin their work.

The document camera will be used everyday in order to help my students learn!

I can use it to help them in every subject, all day long! During math, we can do sample problems together before they have to do "all by myself" work. During language arts, I can help them with their writing by giving them sentence starters. During social studies and science and health, I can use it to project the books on the board so every student can see the pictures and read along!
