My Students

My students come from diverse backgrounds and many have faced adversity in their past. Over 80% of students in our school are identified as low income and needy. Most do not know what they want to do in the future, but I am trying to give them every tool they need to do the best that they possible can and overcome all the challenges that they face.

These students come to me at a variety of levels and it is my job to help each and every one of them grow.

In order to do this I need many more supplies than I can get on my own. It takes a wider community to raise these students in order for them to lead us into a bright future.

My Project

Having a document camera would allow me to project printed material onto the whiteboard in my classroom. As a class we could then look at this material together. We could edit the document, answer questions, or even highlight on the board. This would help to simplify giving directions and instructing while insuring students are following along in the correct place without hand writing the material on the board.

a document camera would be a great time saving tool in our classroom and if time is saved on the basic instruction then there will be more time left for creativity and innovation.
