Help me give my students a document camera and portable creativity cart! These items will give me the ability project demonstrations and showcase work done by my students.
I work at a Title One charter school In Buffalo NY. I teach Project Lead the Way to over 500 Students . My students come from many different backgrounds and homes. PLTW is a science and engineering class. Now that we are doing distance learning my roll has shifted. These books will give me the opportunity to engage my students in a new way. Many of my families only one computer at home. So it is hard for them to all get their work done.
I want to showcase amazing work and books to inspire them to become engineers.
I want them to believe they can be anything they aspire to.
The document camera will give me the ability to create and showcase projects so I can project their work via video chat or create videos for them to see later. Once back in the classroom, I will be able to use the document camera to project their work on our large whiteboard.
My Project
This document camera will be used to help facilitate read alouds with my students and work together on projects during our time away from the classroom. I can project any image from my work area to the computer, where they can see it. It will make it easier for my students to visual any work, and follow along at home.
My students will be able to see any books, and work shown projected to their home computer or interactive white board back at school.
When back at school I will be able to move around the room and video record students work. They will be able to see each others work right from their desks.
