This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
In a special education classroom with a variety of intellectual, physical, and emotional needs my students work hard to learn in unique ways.
Community, resiliency, and kindness are values that the students in my classroom exhibit every day.
While we may falter in our execution of expectations, we strive for improvement constantly. Each student has a different disability, but that does not keep us from coming together as a community that supports one another. We celebrate small wins ever day!
My Project
This document camera would allow me to film myself reading their assignments and books for my non reading students. In doing this, students would be able to work independently without needing myself or another student to read line by line to them.
My ultimate goal is for students to feel confident in their ability to complete work on their own.
This would be such a confidence boost for students that sometimes feel self conscious about needing help with their work. This document camera is just the technology we need to record readings and instructions for the students to use independently.
