My students are creative, hard working, motivated, and kind-hearted. They endure a lot of pressure and stress. Most of my students are expecting to go to college. They are trying to balance academic pressures, extra-curricular activities, and the trials and tribulations of adolescence in the modern world.
My students are really nice people.
They try their best to be successful at school and are generally very kind to me and to each other. They deserve the best education that I can provide as a math teacher. I would like to make my lessons clear and as efficient as possible. The more time I can spend working with the course material, the more successful my students will be in achieving their potential and goals.
The document camera that I use in my classroom every day is about 10 years old. The images are blurry and it is difficult to zoom in and out on documents. About once every 10 minutes the camera shuts off and then comes back on after 3 or 4 seconds. This can be very distracting during lessons and causes me and my students to lose our train of thought.
An up-to-date camera would be very helpful in reducing distractions and making lessons clearer.
It will help my students be successful by allowing them to focus on the course material rather than the limits of the outdated technology that we are using.
