Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing kindergartners that are eager to learn. They come to school with huge smiles. They love to count, write, draw, and tell stories. They have accomplished so much this school year but there is still so much to learn! I want them to continue to learn at home.
My priority is that they are staying healthy, safe, and engaged in learning.
We are very grateful to everyone who takes the time to read and consider donating to our project.
My Project
I'm requesting a document camera because it is very difficult for my students to see the illustrations and text when I am reading them a book. I will use the document camera to capture the illustrations and text this will be allowing my students to make connections and comprehend the story. I'm also requesting books that I can read to them during distance learning. The books that I have chosen such as "My Friend Rabbit" received the Caldecott Medal Award. The book "Count the Monkeys" was nominated for many awards it is also funny and interactive.
This document camera will allow me to give my students a better learning experience.
The coronavirus pandemic has interrupted my students learning but we are finding ways in which we can continue to grow and learn.
