This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our school is faced with a tight spending budget, which leads a shortage of LCD projectors which leaves many of the primary grades using the ancient overhead projectors that are very noise. My students love to learn and need as much help as they can get using technology!

I teach a great group of first graders who are very eager to learn new things and know why things are or have to be a certain way with many concepts.

To many of them I am like an actor playing the roles of: mother, friend, auntie, superhero, protector, comforter, and comedian. My students attend an inner city school in Maryland and all walk to school. The students are visual thinkers. They are making me greater as I empower them to be great!"

My Project

We currently have a document camera in our classroom that we cannot use!!! In a given week, we might get to use the document camera twice for 30 minutes after begging teachers in the upper grades to let us borrow theirs. We need this projector to help our document camera become the tool it is supposed to be used for. Please help my students to "Show What They Know"!

This projector will illuminate their lives and bring them into the newest and most current level of technological learning. As a General Education teacher, this LCD projector will allow me to use the document camera to help all of my students, both regular and special education,use their kinesthetic and visual strengths to interact with the document camera.
