My Students

My students attend a Title I, Florida school where over 83% receive free or reduced lunch. They come from varying financial and economic backgrounds. These sweet, struggling learners attend reading and/or math intervention classes with me every day. One thing they all have in common is being identified by scoring in the low percentile on assessments. Together, my students and I work diligently on remediating the skills they need in order to be successful in school.

Despite their challenges, my kiddos are a hard-working bunch of students who have the desire to improve!

My Project

Visual learners will benefit from the use of this requested interactive document camera by seeing small items, text, and demonstrations in a much bigger way on the classroom whiteboard. This piece of classroom technology can be used to actively engage students in the learning process. The presentation cart will allow for this technology to be movable all around the classroom and not just at the front of the room.

Students would be engaged through collaborative learning experiences, and it will allow for more student led learning.

These two items will allow for countless activities to be displayed by students and by me. They will help with reinforcing the skills taught visually in our classroom.
