Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work with 16 wonderful preschool children who are eager to learn as they start out on their educational path! My students come from a low-income/high-poverty area where most, if not all, qualify for free/reduced meals.

My Project

Children need to play outside every day, even in the winter! By contributing to this project, my students will have the opportunity to go outside and run, jump, yell, and wiggle! They will also be allowed to use their large muscles and work off extra energy. Moving out into the fresh air is also healthier for children than keeping them inside a closed building where germs can easily spread. This is especially important during these COVID pandemic times!

Outside play is an important part of the preschool curriculum and also part of the preschool's evaluation.

Children who play outside are happier, healthier, and stronger! By contributing to this project, you will allow all of my students to warmly play in the snow and provide them with endless opportunities to stimulate their play, learning and physical development.
