This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Do you remember the magic of listening to a story being read to you? Help my students experience that same wonder with a new books on cd for our listening center.

I teach kindergarten in a low-income, high-need area.

My school is a Title I Florida School. My school consists of 74% free and reduced lunch and where 85% of its students come from ethnic backgrounds. My students love to have stories read to them while they look at the pictures.

My Project

I love letting my students listen to children's picture books. Books are such a valuable tool for teaching and learning. We want a listening center where students can sit and listen to books being read to them. Reading comprehension is an important component of reading success. I know these books on cd will aid in helping them develop and improve reading comprehension skills.

Your generosity will give my students a library full of books and a listening center to facilitate their learning.
