This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I want my students this year to walk into my classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything.
I teach at a Title I school in North Carolina where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Many of my students receive backpack food on the weekend. We also have many places donate clothes and school uniforms to our students. Despite so many hardships, I want my student to be eager to learn and do their best. I want them to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.
My Project
Technology is vastly growing in the educational world. These Amazon Fire Tablets will help us learn how to use technology not only using apps for education but also when creating documents. Students would be able to learn their 21st century skills with these tablets. 21st-century skills will help students learn how to research a topic, create documents and power points, and email their documents.
Amazon Fire Tablets will help reduce the time logging in and increasing learning time.
Right now our grade level shares some Chromebooks. I have noticed it is hard for 1st grade to log in to the laptop to get on to do anything with our lessons. Tablets will be a great introduction into learning how to do the basics before going to Chromebooks in upper grades. Having more time to learn 21st-century skills will help my students become more successful one day when finding a job!
