My students are eager and enthusiastic learners.
They are hard workers and have kind hearts. Because my students are first graders (6 and 7 year old children), they are still young and need frequent movement breaks to keep their brains focused and ready to learn.
My Project
The Hokki stools will be around my small group instruction table. When my students come to the table for their individualized instruction, they will be able to sit on the stools to learn and apply their new learning. These stools will allow my students, especially those who struggle with staying focused during learning time and work time, to channel their energy by being able to move while they work.
My students sit in the same chairs all day long, and the Hokki stools will provide a change of scenery and an added enthusiasm for coming to work at my teacher table.
