Help me give my students the chance to experience technology in the 21st century so I can better prepare them for their futures. There are so many incredible educational apps that my students are missing out on!
I have a class of twenty-five eager to learn students! They come in each and every day with the biggest smiles on their faces. My students encourage me to do my best every day. No matter what they are facing outside of school, they look forward to walking in our classroom.
With the power of knowledge, my students can achieve anything!
I can see them developing a love for learning. They love working with letters and learning sounds. It is such an amazing feeling when I notice one of my students sounding out letters to decode words on their own.
My Project
Learning letters and sounds is not an easy task when you are five years old. Using the Daily 5 instruction in our classroom allows the students to be more independent with their learning. Finding ways to incorporate technology into our daily routine has not been easy. I recently attended a professional development that provided me with many useful educational apps for my class. These apps would be a beneficial addition to my students' learning, but they only work on Apple iPads. If we had these iPads, the students could work in groups during our rotations to master various skills.
By donating to our project, you will not only be helping students increase their literacy skills, but you will be providing students with a great tool to motivate and engage them!
While working on these interactive lessons, the students would be refining their technology skills. Interaction with this type of technology will help them with literacy, but it will also increase their desire to learn and interact with up to date technology!
