My Students

School is for learning academics, but teachers from inner city districts know we teach the whole child. Our school is loved by students, teachers, and parents with 94% of the parents recommending our school. We provide free breakfast and lunch for each student because of the high poverty rate.

Our school teaches students about efficacy, the belief that hard work will result in them getting better, stronger, and smarter at anything they want to do.

Respect is given to our learners as we offer support for all, by providing different learning styles to meet individual needs. Character education is also integrated into lessons which prepares our students to became productive individuals.

My Project

In today’s busy classrooms many activities are going on at the same time. One group on computers, another working on phonics skills, some students working at a listening center, while the teacher is doing small group comprehension skills. Although the teacher planned for appropriate learning skills, students will look around to see what is happening throughout the room.

Students need to block outside distractions to focus on the task at hand.

The calming blue room divider assists students to help them stop watching other groups. This will help them concentrate and remain on task. On task behavior increases skills to help them learn.
