Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a wonderful group of energetic students who are full of life. Every day, they work very hard to reach their goals.
My students come from different backgrounds in a Title I school located in South Central Los Angeles.
More than half of my students are from low-income households. My classroom is a melting pot of different cultures. My students are eager to learn and be creative every day. They are sweet, respectful, responsible, kind, happy, and curious students who love to explore the endless possibilities in our classroom. They are amazing kids who deserve the best education. I feel blessed to teach such an amazing group of students. I feel very proud of my students working very hard and trying their best everyday.
My Project
I am requesting learning tools that will help my students learn about diversity, love, respect, antiracism, equity, inclusion, compassion and kindness to each other.
My students will learn about diversity and will create posters and collages about celebrating different cultures in our community.
They will be able to create artwork that reflects themselves.
These materials will support understanding of diversity and equality and in our classroom.
My students will need art supplies like paper, crayons, markers and storage boxes to keep all their art supplies and projects organized.
