My Students

I get the pleasure of serving some AMAZING little humans! My students live in lower socioeconomic neighborhoods and require support and resources while in the classroom. A challenge my families face is the ability to provide extra resources and opportunities for their children.

My goal is to get each student the support needed to be successful in and out of the classroom!

My students are creative, loving, and hands-on learners who come to school each day to try new things and take brave chances.

My Project

Education about diversity is crucial to growing students who treat those around them with love and kindness wherever they go. With access to literature that includes different kinds of people, my students will be exposed to pictures and text about races, traditions, and disabilities that they may have never seen firsthand. My students will have the opportunity to read these books in our class library, in our dramatic play area, as well as with our whole class as group read-alouds. These pictures and words could make one child feel more like they belong and are accepted in our classroom. They could also spark conversation and questions to help educate our young learners on differences to be celebrated.
