Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach at a very diverse school. Many of my students are minorities. I believe that it is important for each student to be celebrated and appreciated. Earlier this year we celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month--we have continued to learn about important people in Hispanic Culture throughout the school year. My hope is that I can also provide this experience to my students for Black History Month.

I believe that our students' culture should not be celebrated only during one month, but the entire year.

The books and posters that I am hoping to provide for my students will stay available year-round. These materials will provide my students with more opportunities to see themselves reflected in my classroom.
