Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are extra special to me because I have had the opportunity to work with them and get to know their personalities for the last several years before becoming a teacher. Many of my students deal with issues and stress in their home lives that young children should be exempt from, yet they continue to persevere and show up with mostly positive attitudes every day! I am committed to making their time at school with me fun, positive, and effective. My way of doing this is to provide exciting and engaging lessons where students are eager and excited to participate, as well as ensure that they feel loved, supported, and cared for.

My Project

The requested books in this project are a selection of diverse books that my students would enjoy and find interesting. These books are very educational and will allow my students to learn and empathize with other cultures and situations different from their own.

I believe students need to have many choices of books to choose from if they are to truly enjoy reading for pleasure!

It is my hope to continue building my classroom library to include a variety of choices for them to choose from, as well as including subjects and topics that they can learn from and even find fascinating!
