My students need all kinds of family puzzles, multi-cultural books and family figures to be used in the centers. These materials were chosen to help teach my students acceptance of others.
My 3 and 4 year old Pre-K students are so excited to learn. They are eager to come to school, play with friends and are very inquisitive. I teach in a low income high poverty school district.
I want my students to live in harmony and be accepting of others!
This is their first school experience and I want to make it a positive one. I want my classroom to create life long learners. They love center time! Especially the Dramatic Play, Fine Motor, Block and Library centers.
Let's help foster acceptance of all others!
My Project
I have chosen a variety of materials to teach my students about acceptance of others. Teaching young children about diversity is very important. What they learn in the early years will be carried with them for them for the rest of their lives.
Teaching tolerance and acceptance of all people in the early years, will allow my students to carry these skills through their lives and live in harmony with others.
I chose all kinds of families puzzles, family board books and people figures to teach them about similarities and differences of others. I will be able to show them people of different cultures and races to teach understanding, tolerance and acceptance of others. These materials will give my students items to demonstrate diversity and acceptance of others.
