Help me give my students a classroom that is as diverse as they are. My students are unique and culturally diverse. I want all of them to feel comfortable and accepted in our classroom.
My first grade class loves to learn! They are inquisitive, creative and fun! They are constantly looking for ways to express themselves and continue to amaze me.
First graders learn so much in one year both socially and academically.
They are becoming responsible for their own learning. They are figuring out what makes them special. They are so unique and different from each other in many ways. They come from various cultures, languages, and backgrounds. I want them to feel empowered and not isolated by their identities.
My Project
By providing my students with an ability to recognize their own diversity and take pride in it, they in turn they will be more accepting of others. This will create a safe learning environment for all of the students.
These books will help them learn about some of their classmates cultures and religions.
They can also be used by other students who need to strengthen their reading skills. The multilingual greetings will help us all practice saying hello in other languages. The stools will help diversify my classroom seating arrangements. I look forward to having students connect with the world map and recognize different areas of the world we might be talking about.
