Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are eager to learn! I have 20 amazing five and six year-olds students in my class. They are excited to be in Kindergarten! I want them to learn to read, write and problem-solve. I want them to be life-long learners.

My Project

These books will continue to help my students to enjoy the LOVE of READING.

Students love to see themselves in books.

I want my students to know that they MATTER. All the books I chose have my students in mind. These new books will further assist my students with their confident of reading. Students love to read when they can read books on their level. I allow students to read throughout the day. We like to have DEAR time which means Drop Everything and Read and this includes the teachers too.
