Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This school year will undoubtedly be like none other before. Students and teachers are both working in uncharted waters. It is my goal to make remote learning as engaging as possible while emulating a classroom setting in my home through a computer screen. We will be relying heavily on read alouds that foster authentic conversation within our classroom. I hope to incorporate more multicultural and stimulating books than ever before. Also, as the year progresses I presume student supplies will deplete. I hope that this platform will allow me to restock students as needed. Our classroom truly appreciates any donation. May this year run smoothly and be successful for all!
My Project
We will be relying heavily on read alouds that foster authentic conversation within our classroom. I hope to incorporate more multicultural and stimulating books than ever before. It is more important than ever to expose young students to texts that they can relate to. Students will be introduced via read alouds to topics about diversity and growth mindset. Both topics which are necessary and prevelant today. These books will allow students at home to feel connected in a way they have been missing out on in recent moths. Thank you!
