This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students in Aurora are from all over the world. My favorite thing about teaching preschool here is when my little ones ask each other about their customs, hair styles, differences in general. It is innocent, honest curiosity without judgement or preconceptions.

My students will have the wonderful opportunity to grow up alongside a rainbow of peers, being defined by their similarities rather than their differences.

Children in preschool learn to observe, describe and communicate in more depth through discussion and drawing. The puzzles, family figures, and
