My Project

While I have an extensive classroom library in my middle school classroom, most of my books are the books I grew up with thirty years ago.

My students should have access to books whose characters look like them!

I'm hoping to add more diverse titles to my classroom: both nonfiction titles that tell the stories of latinx and black heroes, and fiction titles that tell the stories of kids like them. Students, especially my low readers, are more likely to want to engage with books that have characters they can relate to.

Please help me add these titles to my library!
