My students need Wobble Chairs and Soft Seats to help them work collaboratively with others and to help them work independently in the different areas of my classroom.
I teach some of the most amazing little learners. My first grade students are kind, intelligent, brave, inspiring, and constantly surprise me with what they are able to achieve.
Many of the students at our school face daily challenges outside the classroom.
Many students and families at our school struggle with poverty and food insecurity. Despite their challenges, my students come to school each day ready and willing to learn...and they are incredibly hard workers! I am so proud of my students and I know that they have incredibly bright futures.
My Project
These Wobble Chairs and Soft Seats will give my students flexible seating and flexible work options in my classroom. My first graders will be able to choose a Wobble Chair instead of a regular chair to pull up to a table to collaborate with their peers. They will be able to grab a Soft Seat to create a cozy reading spot while sharing a book with a friend.
Not only will my students be able to take charge of their learning environment, they will be able to choose where (and how) they want to sit while they are learning.
By giving my students different seating options to match their diverse learning needs, I will show my students that they can accomplish their goals by taking charge of their learning environment. I believe that giving my students choice in their learning will inspire them to continue on to higher education and motivate them to succeed as lifelong learners.
