My Students

Our Elementary has amazing students and families! I love that my students in third grade are coming from learning to read and are now ready to read to learn. I love that they soak up every bit of information and are able to see things from different viewpoints.

My Project

These books will help my students not only to learn more about diversity, but also to hopefully relate to many of their own lives and the lives of others around them. Every day we focus on kindness and showing the Tiger Way! These books would create positive classroom conversations and getting different perspectives. Students can reflect on their lives and also read books that share about lives that are different from theirs. These books will be great resources to help build a diverse classroom library where all students feel welcome.
