My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures, but one thing that brings them all together is their love for the school and their passion for learning. They come to school anticipating those "ah-ha" moments, and it's my job as their teacher to provide that for them. They are not only learning to become more knowledgeable, but they are learning to become well-rounded, productive members of their communities.
They are observers, scholars, listeners, communicators, and most importantly they are passionate about everything they do.
I believe the right environment can help elicit more knowledge, more thinking, and more learning. I come to school every day with an appreciation for their "want" for more!
My Project
This book collection will help our classroom readers gain perspective from different characters. These books are also series books, which means we can continue to add on. Students may also have more opportunities to gain reading skills through the use of more book choices.
With these new books, students in two grade levels will be able to make more choices to spark their reading interests.
The goal is to find good-fit books for everyone in our classroom. This can also mean characters that may share similar interests as students in our classroom.
