Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our classroom is full of curious and excited learners, ready to dig in and learn all about the world around them. They are always wanting more and seeking answers to so many things concerning them and their world. It is a room full of energetic and friendly kindergartners who come from various backgrounds and cultures. We are an ESL classroom which makes our classroom even more fun since more than one language is often heard in our room.
My Project
With the addition of a sand and water sensory table to our classroom, our students will be able to freely explore and make connections. We will blend science, reading, math, and social studies lessons together with our sensory table.
Students will be able to explore and play while learning about the world around them.
Giving them an opportunity to develop their fine motor skills with while learning with the Dino-Dig Excavation Kit, insect collection and magnet set will make learning more fun and multifaceted. Our students will learn to work together, build their schema, and problem-solve through play. Kindergarten is all about reading, play, exploring, and building on new experiences.
